Citizen assassinated in Shibam Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, April 28 (YPA) – A citizen was assassinated on Monday evening by unknown gunmen in the city of Shibam in the Hadramout province, which is under the Saudi-led coalition control in eastern Yemen.

A local source confirmed that two gunmen riding a motorcycle shot a person named “Mohsen Aziz bin Abdulaziz,” while he was inside his car in Masyal Al-Hazm in Shibam, and killed him on the spot.

He stated that the gunmen managed to escape on their motorcycles to an unknown destination, while the motives for the incident remain unclear.

This incident comes amid the deteriorating security situation in Hadramout, which is witnessing unprecedented security chaos due to the conflict between factions and tribal components loyal to Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
