WEST BANK, April 19 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces launched a massive campaign of raids and arrests this Saturday morning, targeting dozens of Palestinians in various areas of the West Bank, with a focus on the Al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron.
According to Palestinian sources, the occupation forces stormed the camp using several military vehicles, including a bulldozer, and began house-to-house searches. They arrested more than 30 Palestinian citizens, who were interrogated on the spot.
Video footage showed the arrest of several young men after they were handcuffed and blindfolded. The occupation forces also fired live ammunition extensively inside the camp and dropped flares in the sky.
In Hebron, the town of Idhna, west of the city, and the town of Sa’ir, northeast of the city, were raided, with no arrests reported.
In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, Israeli occupation forces stormed the Al-Ain refugee camp, west of the city, from the direction of the 17th checkpoint and deployed in the Mabrouk neighborhood before withdrawing without any arrests. Israeli occupation forces also raided the cities of Bethlehem and Beit Jala and the towns of Doha, Al-Khader, Beit Fajjar, and Jabal al-Mawaleh.
Clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces in the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, where sound bombs and tear gas were used. In the city of Tulkarm and its two refugee camps, the occupation continues its ongoing aggression for the 83rd day, including raids, arrests, and abuse of citizens.
