Two foreign ships suddenly run aground off Abyan coast

ABYAN, April 18 (YPA) – Two foreign ships, one of which was flagged by a Latin American country, ran aground off the Yemeni coast east of Abyan province in a mysterious incident that has raised many questions.

Informed sources indicated that the stranding of the two ships, which were not accustomed to sailing in that area and under similar circumstances and at the same time during the past days, raised many astonishments, without details being revealed by the local authorities loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Abyan.

The sources explained that the two ships were sailing without cargo and had a Syrian crew on board, raising questions about the true reason for their presence in Yemeni waters on the Arabian Sea.

The sources suggested that the grounding of the two ships is an indication of suspicious and illegal activities on Yemen’s eastern coast overlooking the Arabian Sea.
