Yemen politician attacks Jordan-based Muslim Brotherhood

SANAA, April 17 (YPA) – Member of Ansarullah Political Bureau, Hazam al-Assad, expressed dissatisfaction from a statement that the Jordan-based Muslim Brotherhood group made towards Palestinian resistance in Gaza.

On a post on X, al-Assad rejected the group’s position in support of the Jordanian authorities to arrest a number of individuals, who were accused of supporting the resistance in Palestine.

“I wasn’t surprised by the Jordanian authorities’ decision to arrest those accused of supporting the resistance in Palestine, as much as I was provoked by the statement of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan,” he added.

Al-Assad considered the Muslim Brotherhood’s statement a reflection of political and moral decadence, asserting that they are a transient and widespread epidemic not only in Yemen but everywhere.

Assad’s remarks came after Jordan authorities’ recently have witnessed a campaign of arrests targeting dozens of supporters of the Palestinian resistance.

Earlier, the Muslim Brotherhood, in a statement, considered the arrested had nothing to be “the result of individual actions based on support for the Palestinian resistance, a matter the Brotherhood has no knowledge of and has no connection to.”

The Muslim Brotherhood considered that those arrested to be the result of individual actions based on support for the Palestinian resistance, and that they have nothing to the group.
