MSF: ‘Gaza becomes mass graveyard for Palestinians’

GAZA, April 16 (YPA) – Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) said on Wednesday that the Gaza Strip has become a “mass graveyard for Palestinians as a result of military operations and Israeli occupation’s blocking of humanitarian aid.

“We are witnessing the real-time destruction and forced displacement of Gaza’s population,” added Amand Bazirol, the organization’s emergency coordinator in the Gaza Strip, noting that the humanitarian response is deeply affected by insecurity.”

On Tuesday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said in a statement that the situation in Gaza is a hell that is getting worse.

The statement that “its warehouses are empty, and there are tens of thousands of hungry people in the Gaza Strip.” It added that allowing unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid and commercial supplies is an urgent necessity.

For its part, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the shortage of medicines exceeded 37 percent, and that the shortage of medical supplies exceeded 59 percent.

In a statement, it added that the medicine shortage crisis is hampering medical teams’ ability to provide emergency care to the wounded, and that hundreds of patients and wounded are suffering from lake of medication.
