Palestinian female prisoners’ number in Israeli occupation prisons rises to 29 on charges of “incitement”

WEST BANK, April 12 (YPA) – The Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority reported on Saturday that the number of Palestinian female prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons had risen to 29, explaining that most of them were arrested on charges related to what the occupation describes as “incitement.”

In a press release, the authority noted that Israeli occupation authorities continue to target Palestinian women with arbitrary arrests as part of policies aimed at restricting freedom of expression and patriotic positions, particularly through social media.

The authority added that the charges include “incitement to violence,” which is a vague charge used by the authorities to justify the arrest of Palestinian women activists in an attempt to suppress Palestinian feminist voices and suppress freedom of expression.

The authority confirmed that female prisoners face difficult detention conditions in “Damoun” prison, including medical neglect, deprivation of family visits, and inhumane treatment, calling on human rights and international institutions to intervene urgently to stop these ongoing violations against them.
