DHAMAR, April 12 (YPA) – The stations of the Center for Monitoring and Study of Earthquakes and Volcanoes in Dhamar recorded an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale between the Hajjah and Saada provinces in northern Yemen.
The head of the center, Engineer Muhammad Hussein Al-Houthi, explained that the earthquake occurred at 4:58 a.m. yesterday, Friday, noting that the epicenter of the earthquake was 36 km northeast of Hajjah province, adding that the earthquake was 32 km south of the Hayian area in Saada.
It is noteworthy that the areas of Al-Shahil and Al-Mahabisha in Hajjah recorded 3 earthquakes at the end of last March, measuring 3.1, 2.7, and 2.4 on the Richter scale.
