Jordan universities rise up in solidarity with Gaza

AMMAN, April 06 (YPA) – Several Jordanian universities witnessed mass demonstrations on Sunday in support of the people of the Gaza Strip and in rejection of the brutal Israeli aggression.

Demonstrators praised for the Palestinian resistance and its leaders, most notably Abu al-Abd Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, and Mohammed Deif, who were martyred in facing the Israeli aggression.

The students raised slogans calling for intensified efforts to support the Gaza Strip and continued boycotts of products that support the occupation.

They also held up banners saluting the steadfastness of the people of the city of Daraa in southern Syria, who have been subjected to Israeli attacks for days.

Thousands of students are belonging to the University of Jordan in Amman, Yarmouk University and the University of Science and Technology in Irbid Governorate in the north, in addition to protests at other private universities, including Al-Zaytoonah University.
