Israeli occupation army launches 20 airstrikes on southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, March 22 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army launched 20 airstrikes targeting the heights of Iqlim al-Tuffah, the center of the town of Tulin, and the outskirts of al-Jabin in southern Lebanon, Lebanese sources reported on Saturday.

Air raid sirens went off for the second time within minutes in the Metulla settlement in the Finger of the Galilee, on the border with Lebanon, followed by explosions in the area.

The occupation army claimed that rockets were fired from southern Lebanon. Meanwhile, Israeli Army Radio reported that at least five rockets fired from Lebanon had been detected.

A fragile ceasefire has been in effect in Lebanon since November, bringing an end to months of cross-border conflict between Israel and the Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah, which escalated into a full-scale war in September.
