Gaza’s Health Ministry reports 130 martyrs in last 48 hours

GAZA, March 22 (YPA) -The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Saturday that 130 martyrs had arrived at hospitals in the past 48 hours.

The Israeli occupation continues its aggression on Gaza after resuming its war and expanding ground operations to include the city of Rafah in the south, following earlier advances in central and northern Gaza.

The Ministry of Health reported that 130 martyrs, including two who were recovered, and 263 injured individuals had been admitted to Gaza’s hospitals in the last 48 hours.

This brings the total number of martyrs to 634 and the wounded to 1, 172 since March 18.

The death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 49,747 martyrs and 113,213 wounded since October 7, 2023.

Earlier, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that 80% of hospitals in the region are out of service due to the consequences of the Zionist war and the destruction of medical facilities

The ministry also condemned “the heinous crime committed by the occupation forces by demolishing the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital, the only facility dedicated to treating cancer patients in the Gaza Strip.”
