MARIB, March 14 (YPA) – Violent clashes erupted, on Thursday, in Al Wadi district, east of Marib city, which is under the control of the Islah party loyal to the coalition.
Informed sources reported that clashes erupted between gunmen from the Al-Damashqa and Al-Hadeelan Al-Mashaal tribes in Al-Wadi district, over a tribal vendetta in the lower Al-Kawla area of Al-Wadi district, with various types of heavy and light weapons.
The sources confirmed that the clashes between the two tribes came after the killing of Salem Saleh Al-Ba’a Al-Ubaidi and the wounding of another, Fayez Nasser bin Awshan, from Al-Damashqa tribe, by gunmen from the Al-Hadeelan family shortly before breakfast yesterday.
The sources also pointed out that the Islah-affiliated authorities paid no attention to the clashes between the tribes, amid accusations of fueling conflicts between the tribes to enable them to continue plundering natural resources and exploit them for the benefit of the party’s leadership.
