Palestinian Prisoners Club calls to probe into martyrdom of dozens of prisoners

GAZA, March 06 (YPA) – Head of the Palestinian Prisoners Club, Abdullah Al-Zaghari, called on the human rights system to open an neutral international investigation into the conditions of the martyrdom of dozens of prisoners, as a result of crimes of torture, starvation, medical crimes, and sexual assaults.

In a news statement, Al-Zaghari affirmed that the pace of “Israeli” crimes against prisoners and detainees has returned to the level of crimes that reached their peak at the beginning of the genocidal war.

Al-Zaghari pointed out that this inference came based on visits by legal teams and live testimonies that reflected daily, as well as the increase in the number of detained martyrs whose unknown identities, in light of the occupation’s continued concealment of the identities of many of them and the continued detention of their bodies.

He considered the announcement of four prisoners as martyrs in prisons within days was an ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in a period and the bloodiest in the history of the prisoner movement.

“Despite all the data that has become very clear about the reality of prisoners in prisons, the world is still ignoring the organized terrorist operations that have been practiced against the freed prisoners and their families recently, in addition to the occupation’s threats against the freed prisoners not to disclose any information about the crimes they were subjected to,” Al-Zaghari revealed.

He called for taking effective decisions to hold the occupation leaders accountable for the war crimes that they’re committing against the Palestinian people and putting an end to the ongoing state of helplessness in the face of the crimes of the “Israeli” occupation.
