2 soldiers of UAE-backed factions killed, 18 others injured in traffic accident in Lahj

LAHJ, March 05 (YPA) – Two soldiers were killed, on Tuesday, and 18 others were injured from the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s forces, in a horrific traffic accident that occurred in Lahj governorate.

According to local sources, the incident resulted in the death and injuries of members of the Fifth Brigade “Hazm Al-Murabitin” of the STC forces, which is present on the Karish front in the governorate.

Initial information indicates that the accident occurred due to the loss of control over one of the forces’ military vehicles, which led to its overturning and causing severe damage to those on board.

The wounded were transferred to nearby hospitals for treatment, while the bodies were transferred to the governorate hospital.

Sources attribute this increase in traffic accidents among military personnel to failure to adhere to driving rules and excessive speed.
