America temporarily suspends military aid to Ukraine

WASHINGTON, Mar. 04 (YPA) – US President Donald Trump has suspended all military aid to Ukraine following a dispute with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to Fox News, a source in the Trump administration said the decision is a temporary suspension of aid and not a permanent end to it. However, the move has been widely criticized in Europe and described as worthless.

According to reports from Bloomberg and Fox News, the suspension will continue until Trump sees that the Ukrainian leadership is showing a real commitment to achieving peace.

Fox News again pointed to a Trump administration official’s confirmation that the suspension does not constitute a permanent end to aid.

This decision comes after Trump’s offensive statements towards Zelensky, in which he expressed his dissatisfaction with the latter’s failure to show greater appreciation for the continued US support for his country.

Trump issued a direct warning to Zelensky that anyone who refuses to reach a peace agreement will not remain in office for long, considering that a deal on minerals could bring great benefits to the United States.

On the other hand, US Vice President James David Vance, who was the spark of the dispute between Trump and Zelensky during the White House meeting, stated that Trump kept the door open for Zelensky if he was ready to negotiate peace with Russia.

Vance explained that Zelensky’s team had requested to return to the White House to continue the talks, stressing the importance of Kyiv accepting the metals deal as part of these efforts.
