CAIRO, March 04 (YPA) – The emergency Arab Summit will kick off this evening in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to discuss the plan for early recovery and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, as well as the latest developments in the region.
Arab leaders began arriving in Cairo on Monday to participate in the summit, following a wave of Arab and international rejection of US President Donald Trump’s proposals regarding the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, as well as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements about the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state within Saudi Arabia, which was met with widespread disapproval.
Since January 25th, US President Donald Trump has been promoting a plan to relocate Gaza’s Palestinians to neighboring countries like Egypt and Jordan, which has been rejected by these countries, along with other Arab nations and regional and international organizations.
