Hamas: Restricting access to Al-Aqsa during Ramadan is dangerous precedent and escalation against holy sites
OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Feb. 25 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemned, on Tuesday evening, in the strongest terms the recommendations of the Zionist enemy police and its plans to restrict the access of worshipers to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan.
Hamas stressed in a statement that these recommendations are a dangerous precedent that aims to undermine freedom of worship.
She said that “The recommendations of the enemy police to allow only 10,000 worshippers to perform Friday prayers in Al-Aqsa, is a new escalation against our people, our land and our holy sites.”
Hamas considered these recommendations a blatant violation of all divine norms, covenants and laws, a direct provocation of Muslim feelings, and a miserable attempt to impose alleged control over the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
She also stressed that the enemy’s crimes and aggressive plans against Al-Aqsa Mosque will not succeed in obliterating its features, changing its identity, and obscuring its history, noting that Al-Aqsa was and will remain a purely Islamic endowment, in which there is no place for the occupation, and our people and nation will sacrifice their lives and souls for it, until its complete liberation from the filth of the occupation.
Hamas warned the Zionist enemy government and held it fully responsible for the consequences of continuing to implement these recommendations.
The Islamic Resistance Movement called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the international community for serious action to stop the occupation’s crimes and violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to work to enable the Palestinian people to exercise their right to practice their rituals freely in Al-Aqsa.
