DHAMAR, Feb. 25 (YPA) – The Earthquake and Volcanoes Center in Yemen recorded a significant tremor at the southern entrance to the Red Sea on Tuesday.
The seismic bulletin issued by the monitoring center in Dhamar province confirmed that its monitoring stations recorded a 3.7-magnitude earthquake at 3:37 p.m. in Tadjoura Bay, south of the Red Sea.
The center indicated that the tremor came after a similar tremor with a magnitude of 4.1 was recorded in Ethiopia at 6:07 a.m. this morning.
Just a day prior, Ethiopia experienced a series of earthquakes of varying magnitudes—5.1, 5.2, 4.7, 4.5, and 3.0—north of Awash Afar, which was felt in several cities, including the capital, Addis Ababa.
