Member of UAE-backed STC factions killed in Abyan

ABYAN, Feb. 21 (YPA) – A member of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions was killed in the early hours of Friday morning in a sniper operation east of Abyan province, southern Yemen.

According to informed sources, terrorist elements targeted a number of recruits from the “Sixth Support Brigade” in a sniper operation in Wadi Omran in the Modiyah district, which led to the death of recruit Saber Saleh Musaed Al-Dhalai, a native of Al-Azreq area.

The sources added that ambulances rushed to the site after the attack, amid accusations directed at terrorist elements loyal to the Islah Party.

It is noteworthy that the STC had announced the launch of Operation “Siham Al-Sharq” towards Modiyah in Abyan during August 2022, after controlling over camps affiliated with Islah in Shabwa.
