Protest denounces deterioration of basic services about to launch tomorrow in Mahra

MAHRA, Feb. 20 (YPA) – The sit-in committee against foreign presence in the city of Al-Ghaydah in Al-Mahra governorate, eastern Yemen, called on citizens to participate in a mass public march tomorrow, Friday, in the city.

The committee explained in a statement that the protest is entitled “Together for Sovereignty, Dignity and a Decent Life”, to denounce the deterioration of basic services and the collapse of economic and living conditions.

She stressed that the collapse of the local currency has brought citizens to the brink of famine, amid the worsening disaster without the coalition government taking any noteworthy reforms.

The committee pointed out that the march will start from in front of the headquarters of the Peaceful Sit-in Committee in Al-Ghaydah, calling on the people of Mahra to participate actively in order to convey their voice to the concerned authorities.
