Al-Qassam Brigades decide to release 6 Israeli prisoners on Saturday

GAZA, Feb. 21 (YPA) -Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, disclosed the names of six  Israeli prisoners, who are set to be released on Saturday.

In a statement, Abu Obeida said: “As part of Al-Aqsa Flood deal for prisoner exchange, Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades decided to release the following Zionist captives tomorrow, Saturday, corresponding to 02/22/2025:

1- Elijah Maimon Yitzhak Cohen

2- Omar Shem Tov

3- Omer Finkert

4- Tal Shoham

5- Avera Mengistu

6- Hisham Al-Sayed ”

On Thursday, Hamas handed over to Israel the bodies of four detainees who were killed by Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip after being captured on October 7, 2023.

During the handover, the coffins of the four captives were placed on a platform in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis before handing them over  to the International Red Cross as part of the prisoner exchange deal under the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.
