HADRAMOUT, Feb. 11 (YPA) – The Hadramout Tribal Confederacy revealed on Tuesday an attempt to loot 120,000 liters of diesel allocated for Hadramout’s electricity.
The confederacy explained that it seeks to facilitate the passage of fuel tankers from PetroMasila facilities without disrupting supplies.
Daily supplies to power stations amount to about 364,000 liters, including 300,000 liters through the oil company’s branch in the coastal areas and 64,000 liters as a grant through the PetroMasila, with the stations’ stock exceeding 4.5 million liters at the time.
The confederacy accused local authorities of obstructing the withdrawal of fuel through the oil company’s branch and considered the decision an attempt to hide the stock and prevent oversight of corruption, with the confederacy being deliberately held responsible.
It also pointed out the authorities’ refusal to supply the stations with diesel and their refusal to facilitate the exit of tankers from PetroMasila.
