ADEN, Feb. 10 (YPA) – Angry protesters blocked the road to Aden International Airport, which is under coalition control, on Monday, as part of their demonstrations against the economic collapse and lack of basic services in the city.
Local sources reported that the demonstrators used stones and set fire to damaged tires to block the road, expressing their discontent over the deteriorating living conditions, especially power outages and rising prices.
The sources confirmed that the protests are taking place in Al-Rashid neighborhood in Khor Maksar area, where the protesters announced that they will continue to block the road until electricity services are improved and urgent solutions are provided to the economic crisis which Aden is suffering from.
The protests come for the fifth consecutive day amid a continued deterioration in living conditions in Aden, where residents suffer from frequent power outages, rising prices of basic commodities, and deteriorating public services.
