SHABWA, Feb. 07 (YPA) – The crisis involving the detention of commercial fuel transport trucks at the entrances of Shabwa Governorate has now entered its 27th consecutive day, disrupting the delivery of fuel shipments from Marib to stations in Aden, Lahj, Dhalea’, Yafa’a, and Abyan.
Several truck drivers mentioned that they are suffering from disruptions to their work due to the detention of their vehicles and being prevented from delivering the required shipments, significantly impacting the movement of fuel between the governorates.
They explained that the local authorities justified stopping the trucks by claiming they were not transporting oil derivatives from Bir Ali in Qana Port, Shabwa.
The crisis is expected to be resolved once the current ship at Bir Ali Port is unloaded, after which the trucks are scheduled to be allowed to pass.
