Second earthquake hits new area in Hodeida

HODEIDA, Feb. 03 (YPA) – Earthquake monitoring stations recorded an earthquake in the coastal Al-Khokha district, south of Hodeida governorate.

The seismic bulletin issued by the center stated that monitoring stations recorded a mild local earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale in Wadi Irfan, 15 km southeast of Al-Khokha.

It explained that the earthquake occurred at 10:51 pm yesterday, after recording an earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale in the Gulf of Tajoura in the Horn of Africa, south of the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Last week, monitoring stations recorded an earthquake in Hays district with a magnitude of 3.6, which was felt in the epicenter area, Wasabeen district, and neighboring areas.
