Ministry of Awqaf in Gaza: Zionist occupation killed 255 clerics, destroyed 79% of mosques, completely demolished 3 churches

GAZA, Feb. 03 (YPA) – The spokesman for the Ministry of Endowments in the Gaza Strip, Ikrami Al-Mudallal, confirmed that the Israeli aggression destroyed 79% of the mosques in the Strip, and completely demolished three churches.

Al-Mudallal revealed in a statement, on Monday, that the occupation forces also killed 255 clerics and imams affiliated with the ministry, and arrested 26 others.

He pointed out that the occupation also targeted 32 cemeteries out of 60 cemeteries in Gaza, completely destroying 14 and causing partial damage to 18 cemeteries.

Al-Mudallal pointed out that the occupation forces’ targeting of mosques and places of worship is a clear violation of all sanctities, international law, and human rights law.
