STC elements storm former president’s home in Aden, expel his family to street

ADEN, Feb. 02 (YPA) – Influential figures in the Southern Transitional Council (STC) loyal to the UAE stormed the home of former southern Yemeni President Abdel Fattah Ismail in the embassies district of Aden city, which is under the Saudi-led coalition’s control.

The STC elements expelled Ismail’s family into the street without regard for the sanctity or historical status of the family.

Human rights sources confirmed the incident, while activists called for an immediate investigation and accountability for those responsible and for the family to return to their home with dignity and safety.

The incident sparked widespread resentment among Aden residents amid the ongoing security chaos since 2016.
