BEIRUT, Jan. 26 (YPA) – Several Lebanese people were injured by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire on Sunday morning, as they continued to occupy Lebanese villages, violating the 60-day deadline for their withdrawal under the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon.
Lebanese media sources reported three casualties as Israeli occupation forces open fire at Lebanese southerners to prevent them from returning to their home town of Kfar Kila
Meanwhile, residents of the city of Khiam held a car procession into their town despite Israeli occupation warnings.
Earlier in the morning, hundreds of southerners gathered at the entrances to their villages in preparation for entering them as the 60-day deadline for Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon expired.
For its part, the Israeli occupation announced that its military forces are still deployed at various locations in southern Lebanon and stated that it would determine which areas would be accessible for return.
