Meteorology expects cold weather to continue in some Yemen areas

SANAA, Jan. 24 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Friday that very cold weather to continue during the night and early morning in different areas of Yemeni provinces.

In its weather bulletin, the center that the weather would be cold to relatively cold in the highlands of Jawf, Marib, Mahweet, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Dhalea, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra, Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda.

The bulletin stated that the coastal areas may be partly cloudy with the possibility of light rain on parts of the southern coasts and the Socotra Archipelago, with light to moderate winds on the southern and eastern coasts, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the Socotra Archipelago.

According to the center, the atmosphere in the desert areas would be clear and relatively cold during the night and early morning hours, with light to moderate winds.

It renewed its warnings to citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the night and early morning to take precautions against the cold weather.
