SHABWA, Jan. 23 (YPA) – Militants heavily opened on Thursday fire in the city of Ataq, the provincial capital of Shabwa, which is under the control of the Emirati-held armed factions.
Eyewitnesses said that they heard heavy gunfire towards the Al-Kariba military checkpoint belonging to the so=called “Second Brigade” Shabwa Defense factions, north of the city.
The eyewitnesses explained that the shooting was due to an attack by members of the Public Works Department to remove a building belonging to one of the sons of the Al-Daghar tribe on Al-Hazm Street, near the Al-Kariba checkpoint, which led to armed clashes.
