SANAA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – Unknown individuals placed a hand grenade in front of a mosque affiliated with the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs in the city of Saint-Omer, northern France, on Tuesday.
A statement on the Instagram account of the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs in France, on Wednesday, stated that the bomb disposal teams that arrived at the scene intervened to deal with the bomb.
He pointed out that a pig’s head was placed in front of the same mosque last year during the month of Ramadan.
The Union strongly condemned this heinous attack on the mosque, saying that “These attacks on our places of worship, which are symbols of peace and brotherhood, are unacceptable terrorism.”
“We declare our determination to protect our places of worship and practice our religious rituals safely, and we hope that such painful events will not be repeated,” the union added.
