SANAA, Jan. 16 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected cold weather in several Yemeni provinces.
In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that a cold wave would target the provicnes of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Bayda, Jawf, Marib, Mahweet, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Dhale, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.
It pointed out that the coastal areas would be characterized by clear to partly cloudy weather, with moderate to active the winds on the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the Socotra Archipelago, ranging its speeds between 15-25 knots.
The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the late night and early morning hours, to take the necessary measures to protect themselves from the very cold weather.
