Iraq announces arrest of financial official belongs to ISIS

SANAA, Jan. 15 (YPA) – The Intelligence Division of the 8th Division of the Iraqi forces arrested, on Wednesday, a woman accused of belonging to the “ISIS” organization, in the Al-Hawija district of Kirkuk governorate.

According to the Iraqi security authorities, the accused held the position of “the financial guarantees officer in the organization,” where she was responsible for distributing money to the families of the organization’s members in the Hawija area.

She also used to sewing clothes and military equipment for the organization, and her arrest came as a result of a qualitative intelligence operation based on accurate information and intensive field follow-up, according to the same source.

The accused was arrested in accordance with Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law, and she was handed over to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures.
