Monitoring stations detect earthquake west of Gulf of Aden

DHAMAR, Jan. 13 (YPA) – The Center for Monitoring and Study of Earthquakes and Volcanoes reported that its stations recorded an earthquake on Monday in the western Gulf of Aden.

Engineer Muhammad Hussein Mutahar Al-Houthi, head of the center in Dhamar province, stated that the earthquake measured 4.3 on the Richter scale.

This comes after a mild earthquake, measuring 3.1, detected last Saturday evening in Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa province.
