DAMASCUS, Jan. 13 (YPA) – Eight family members were killed and wounded on Monday in a hand grenade blast in the Hama suburb of Abu al-Fida of Syria.
The Syrian Observatory said in its report on Monday the family, including 6 children and a woman, and a man.
They were targeted when another person from the family was playing the hand grenade in in the Hama suburb of Abu al-Fida.
In a similar incident, a 14-year-old child was killed when a landmine from the remnants of war exploded while he was herding sheep in the town of Al-Ghubra, affiliated with the city of Al-Bukamal in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
In addition, 3 children were injured, some of them seriously, when a war mine went off in the village of Maranaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
The report added that the death toll from the remnants of war in Syria since the fall of the Assad regime on December 8 to mounted up 232, with 135 injured.
