UN rapporteur calls for Netanyahu’s arrest in Poland 

NEW YORK, Jan. 11 (YPA) – UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese said on Saturday, “Poland must adhere to the principles of global justice and must arrest the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, if he travels there.” 

Albanese stressed in her statement that members of the International Criminal Court are obligated to arrest persons against whom the court has issued an arrest warrant.

 The rapporteur recalled that Poland had previously criticized Mongolia for not arresting Russian President Vladimir Putin and that Netanyahu should be subjected to the same treatment. 

She emphasized that the selective application of laws undermines pluralism and the universality of international justice.
