Several Syrian officials executed in Syria

DAMASCUS, Jan. 07 (YPA) – An armed group belonging to “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” group, which is considered the military wing of the “Syrian Interim Government,” executed several the Syrian officials, including a member of the Shura Council.

The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights said in a report that a member of the People’s Assembly from the Asasneh clan was executed in the field in the city of Aleppo on charges of collaborating with the former Syrian regime, in addition to the killing of another person in the Hama countryside on charges of being a thug and leading groups affiliated with the former regime.

The report added that unknown gunmen kidnapped “a fifty-year-old man from the village of Al-Ghamqa Al-Sharqiya in the countryside of Tartous, who had previously collaborated with the regime forces, noting that his body was later found with traces of gunshot wounds as a result of a field execution.”

In addition, armed elements affiliated with “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham”, which is classified as a terrorist organization, attacked the family of “Hassan Musa al-Ibrahim,” a former official in the former Syrian regime, including women, before kidnapping him from his home in the town of Adra in the countryside of the Syrian capital, Damascus, to an unknown location, according to the Observatory.

Since the fall of the Assad regime, Syria has witnessed a significant escalation in security chaos and the spread of militants, which has led to an increase in random killings and field executions.
