Meteorology warns residents of continued frost in several governorates

SANAA, Jan. 03 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has expected cold to very cold weather in several governorates over the next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center stated that it expects cold to very cold weather in the governorates of Saada, western Jawf, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, southern and western Marib, Al-Bayda, northern parts of Ibb and Dhalea, as well as in the highlands of Lahj and Abyan, and the deserts and plateaus of Shabwa, Hadramaut, and Mahra.

It is also likely that frost will form in parts of these areas, the center said.

Meanwhile, the weather will be relatively cold to a cold in the highlands of the governorates of Hajjah, Mahweet, Raymah, and Taiz.

The center warned citizens of the very cold weather during the night and early morning hours, especially for the elderly, children, and patients.

The center urged farmers, beekeepers, poultry, and livestock herders to adhere to instructions to safeguard their agricultural crops and livestock from extreme cold.
