GAZA, 30 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned on Monday of the risk of famine in the Gaza Strip.
The UNRWA said in a statement on X that the Gaza residents are suffering from food insecurity and a lack of humanitarian aid, in light of the Israeli aggression that has been ongoing for more than 14 months.
The statement said that “the UN teams are working to deliver aid to those in need, but stressed that it is “not enough at all.”
It revealed that the Israeli occupation rejected two attempts to reach the besieged parts of the North Gaza province to provide and deliver humanitarian aid.
In a related context, the low pressure affecting Palestine has increased the suffering of the people of Gaza with the flooding of dozens of tents in the displacement camps, specifically in the areas of Deir al-Balah and Mawasi Khan Yunis.
The genocidal war that Israeli occupation forces have committed in the Gaza Strip for 451 days, coinciding with the commission of more war crimes, displacement, and the removal of hospitals, health centers, and civilian facilities from service.
