Light aircraft crashes in UAE

DUBAI, Dec.  30 (YPA) – A light aircraft belonging to the Al Jazira Air Sports Club crashed into the waters off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah, the United Arab Emirates, resulting in the deaths of the pilot and his companion, according to Emirati media.

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) confirmed the incident and announced that its Air Accidents Investigation Section has been alerted and is currently working with relevant authorities to determine the cause of the crash.

In a statement, the GCAA expressed its condolences to the families of the victims.
