Islah Party member killed in Marib

MARIB, Dec. 13 (YPA) – One of Islah Party members was killed on Thursday in Al Wadi district, east of Marib city, which is under the control of the coalition-funded Islah factions.

Sources familiar with the matter said that Mohammed Salem bin Jalal, nicknamed “Al-Tamra,” was targeted by gunmen believed to belong to the Party because of his positions against extremist groups.

The sources explained said that the gunmen fired a hail of bullets at bin Jalal in the district and fled to an unknown destination without revealing the circumstances of the assassination incident.

This came after the pro-UAE General People’s Congress leader Kamel Al-Khodani and three of his companions were injured in an assassination attempt last Monday by unknown gunmen upon his arrival in the city of Marib to celebrate the anniversary of the killing of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
