Iranian Ambassador in Baghdad: “We will not allow terrorist attack on Iraq”

BAGHDAD, Dec. 12 (YPA) – The Iranian ambassador to Baghdad, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq, said on Thursday that “Iran will not allow terrorist attacks to occur in Iraq.”

Al Sadiq stated in press statements that Tehran would take the necessary measures to stand alongside the Iraqis in order to confront terrorism.

He added, “We always stress the necessity of preserving the unity and sovereignty of Iraqi lands.”

Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in Iraq, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, affirmed that the security forces would crush terrorist elements wherever they find them. He indicated that “terrorism today no longer has a foothold in the land of Iraq, and its remnants have no choice but to be defeated.”
