UNRWA: the Gaza Strip has been experiencing the most intense bombardment of a civilian population since World War II
GAZA, Nov. 29 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), has confirmed that since October 2023, the Gaza Strip has been experiencing the most intense bombardment of a civilian population since World War II.
In a statement marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, UNRWA highlighted that this is the second consecutive year the occasion has coincided with the occupation’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, taking place without any effective international intervention or deterrence.
It’s the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

“The plight of the Palestine Refugees remains the longest unresolved refugee crisis in the world,” UNRWA stressed.
UNRWA further emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
On November 29 of each year, several countries around the world organize protests to commemorate the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
The UN General Assembly decided in 1977 to celebrate the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on 29 November every year.
