ADEN, Nov. 27 (YPA) – A young man was subjected to brutal torture in the prisons of the Transitional Council factions affiliated with the Emirates in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the coalition, in southern Yemen.
Human rights activist Akram Al-Qadahi confirmed in a post on Facebook that one of the young men working in the vegetable market in the Mansoura area, was subjected to brutal torture after being arrested without any charge, pointing out that the young man was released a few days later, bearing signs of torture and beatings all over his body.
He stated that the young man had a verbal altercation with another person over an amount of 5,000 riyals, and when he went to file a complaint against his opponent to the Transitional Council elements in the region, he was thrown into prison for no reason.
Al-Qadahi pointed out that the elements stipulated that the young man pay a sum of money in exchange for his release, but he refused their demands, so he was subjected to beating, torture, and half of his hair was shaved, in a degrading manner that does not reflect human behavior.
