SANAA, Nov. 21 (YPA) – The US Senate has blocked a bill that would have stopped the sale of some weapons to the Israeli occupation, introduced by independent Senator Bernie Sanders, along with a number of other democratic legislators.
The bill was supported by 18 members, while 79 out of 100 members of the Senate opposed the resolution, which, if passed, would have stopped the sale of tank ammunition to the entity.
The Senate is scheduled to vote later on two other resolutions that would halt the shipment of two species of other offensive military equipment.
All of the votes in favor of the measure were from Democrats, while the votes against included representatives from both Democrat and Republican parties.
