40 protesters arrested during protest in the Senate against arming Israel

SANAA, Nov. 20 (YPA) – Activists demonstrated inside the US Senate building, calling on members of the Senate to prevent arms sales to the Israeli occupation.

The demonstrations that took place yesterday, were attended by religious groups, health care workers, doctors, teachers, students and veterans, while the police forcibly confiscated signs carried by the demonstrators, before arresting at least 40 demonstrators who continued to chant slogans calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza and an end to funding for the genocide.

The activists wore blood-red clothing, with slogans such as “Fund schools, not genocide” and “Stop funding Israel”, and they formed more than one group, one of which held signs on the ground floor of the Senate building (the Hart Building), and other groups on the upper floors, whereas the police forced the remaining activists to leave and demonstrate outside the building.
