ADEN, Nov. 09 (YPA) -Aden Unified Political Council strongly condemned, in a statement issued on Saturday, the collapse of the economic and public services in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition.
The Saudi-backed council’s statement highlighted the catastrophic devaluation of the Yemeni riyal and the unprecedented surge in prices, amid the absence of any regulations by the pro-coalition government to curb the economic collapse.
The statement also addressed the lack of basic services, particularly the daily power outages that last for more than 20 hours, exacerbating the suffering of the city’s residents.
The council urged the coalition to carry out a thorough and unbiased investigation into the widespread corruption, hold those accountable, and take decisive action to resolve the issues and alleviate the suffering of the citizens.
The council’s statement also praised the declaration of what is known as the “Parties Bloc,” which was declared last week in Aden.
