Protest in Austria calls for ceasefire in Gaza, Lebanon

SANAA, Nov. 03 (YPA) – The Austrian capital, Vienna, witnessed, on Sunday, a demonstration calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, and describing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “criminal.”

Protesters gathered at Columbus Platz and raised Palestinian flags and banners reading “Netanyahu the criminal,” “Stop the massacres in Gaza and Lebanon,” and “Free Palestine.”

In the speech delivered by Austrian activist Wilhelm Langthaler, he pointed out that Israel has continued its bombing of Gaza since October 7, 2023, causing the death of about 44,000 people, and that expectations, according to what he mentioned, indicate the death of about 200,000 Palestinians.

Langthaler added that “Israel” has dragged the region into fire, and that the massacres in Lebanon are added to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
