ADEN, July 19 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen shot dead a senior security official in the southern port city of Aden on Thursday, a security source told Yemen Press Agency.
Unknown gunmen opened fire on Director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Mansoura prison, Colonel Saif Ahmed Ali al-Dhalie, and killed him while he was in his car at a fuel station in the city, and then fled, according to the source.
Al-Dhalei was taken to a hospital in the city but he died before he arrived at the hospital, he added.
Earlier in this week, gunmen assassinated Director of Bir al-Fadl police station, Colonel Fahmi al-Subaihi, in a dispute over a piece of land.
The city of Aden has been witnessing security chaos since the occupation forces took over the city in the second half of 2015.
