At least seven people killed in Zionist attack on Damascus

DAMASCUS, OCt. 09 (YPA) – At least seven Syrian people were killed and 11 injured as a result of an Israeli airstrike on a densely populated area of Damascus, the state news agency SANA reported, citing a military source’s statement.

“Nearly at 20.15 on Tuesday, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial aggression with 3 missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting a residential building at the densely-populated Mezzah neighborhood in Damascus, claiming the lives of 7 civilians, among them women and children, injuring 11 others in initial toll and causing huge material damages to properties,” the military source said in the statement.

The attack also caused significant material damage to private properties in the surrounding area, and rescue operations are still ongoing to save others trapped under the rubble, according to the source.
