OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Oct. 07 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian elderly man after savagely assaulting him during a raid on his house in Dura town, south of Hebron, at dawn Monday.
According to Palestinian sources, the occupation forces stormed at dawn the house of Sheikh Ziyad Abu Halil, a noted tribal figure in al-Khalil and known for his activism against the occupation, and severely beat him until he lost consciousness.
Sheikh Abu Halil was rushed to the Dura Hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead, saying he died of internal injuries.
His death as a result of the occupation assault has sparked anger among the Palestinians in the West Bank, especially those who know him.
